DUTCH angora.

German angora is common in India which  is also the best wool producer.however, adult body weight is maximum of 1 1/2 kg s .these animals can be used for wool production for 3 years and wool can be obtained for every 3 months by shearing.
4 times a year it can give an yield of 250 gm/shearing .after shearing protein rich diet should be provided to the animal for proper growth of wool in consequent shearing.
Regarding feeding generally pellet feed is preferred.the greens are avoided because of the wetness  which in turn results into matting of wool .which is consider as a defect in wool grading system.after 3 years, the animal can be used for meat purpose (750 gm)

PLACES OF REARING
cooler climates are preferred
Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute , Garsa,Kullu valley,Himachal Pradesh, has pure German angora breeds.
If males are castrated there are 2 advantages 1) castrated animals have better wool production.2)no need for individual cages and we can avoid unwanted mating .so there is always a huge tag for this creature Rs.1000 / animal.it can be used as a dual purpose breed meat and wool purposes both are met with this bred.
